Volvo has cancelled a rumored four-door version of its small C30 hatchback, the 2010 Volvo C50. Instead, says Britain’s Autocar magazine,

the Swedish brand will field a new multi-purpose wagon, the V30, and drop its compact S40 sedan, for which demand has turned sluggish. A high-riding demi-SUV version, the XC30, is also in the works. The change in plans begins a product overhaul that Volvo hopes will reverse a two-year sales slide.
